| 'Young shifter, naive and bold, you think life to be grand, bending to your every whim. Your view is wrong, down to the very thread, child. Life is also cruel, harsh, and unforgiving, death knocking on the door of your heart even when so soon you began to breathe. Your view has cost you dearly, and now I must cast the penalty upon you. 'From this day forward we take your greatest gift of being a shifter: your humanity. We bind it out of your reach until you learn your lesson. This lesson you will learn as an animal. For animals feel the harshness of the world more so than humans. Until then, child, farewell.' 'Wait!' he gasped out, the force that was striping him from his humanity weighed against his lungs as a large rock among the mountains. 'If you are the great beings that our kind fears so much, than have mercy! I did not know...!' His lungs wouldn't let him talk any more, wanting air to stay alive more than for begging his humanity to not leave him. The mysterious beings had mostly left the heavenly space except for three, one being the one that had spoken. 'We cannot play favorites, child. Our rulings are strict and you are of age to take punishments from us, being as your parents have little rule over you.' A small silence passed, only broken by the young shifter's gasping breaths before the voice continued. 'Be mature about this punishment. It's time that you show some wisdom...' The voice faded away in echos, leaving the young shifter alone in the heavenly space. He ignored all the wonders that surrounded him, being self-absorbed in his current issue. A whisper escaped his mouth as the warm, inviting darkness of unconsciousness wrapped around his senses. 'I've.......failed.....' Really doesn't completely fit the pic, but it's a piece of his history- MAJOR SPOILER- from when he lost his humanity. o3o I think this practice comic I'm doing- staring him- shall be named....but I need a name for this guy before I name the comic. x.X |
